Is Modern Warfare 3 Reusing Buildings From Previous Call of Duty Games?

An example found on YouTube displays a very similar structure between the latest Modern Warfare and its predecessor.

When you’re pushing out a game every year, it’s logical that you’ll need to cut corners where you can. Any time you save on development lets you put those hours into more important projects and ideas. Unfortunately, one of the big complaints about MW3 from the community has been that it feels like DLC: a short campaign and some new multiplayer maps. Over on our boards, they also dug up the video above to further stoke some gamers’ unrest.

Is this a one-off case of a simple structure getting some more development mileage or just a complete coincidence? After all, there are only so many different types of warehouses to build before you start repeating yourself.

We just got our copies in today, so we’ll be digging in seeing what’s new (and what’s not) along with the rest of you. But feel free to share anything else interesting you find in the comments.
